The Pokemon League is the global organization which databases all Pokemon Trainers, Coordinators, Rangers, and Professors. There are five branches of the Pokemon League, one for each region.

Indigo League of Kanto
Wonder League of Johto
Destiny League of Hoenn
Majesty League of Sinnoh
Victory League of Unova
Each League consists of millions of people, including eight Gym Leaders, four Elite Four, and one Champion. The most prestigous title of the entire Pokemon League is Pokemon Master. Somebody become a Pokemon Master once regarded by the League as one. The Champion is the chief executive of the League. The Council of Five is composed of the Champion from each region.
